New CHAOS Airdrop Vesting Calendar

Dear Chaotic Community,

Since the launch of Chaotic Finance back in February of 2022, close to 40% of the airdropped tokens have been vested to eligible users. Given the recent events and conditions of the general crypto market and to procure the stability and longevity of Chaotic Finance, the team, after careful consideration has made the decision to increase the vesting period for the remaining tokens of the airdrop.

Initially, the vesting period was set to every four weeks for one year until February 22nd 2023. The new vesting period will continue to unlock every four weeks but will run for two years from the airdrop date of March 5th, 2022 to February 21st, 2024.

Please note that lowering the emission rate means that the rate of inflation of CHAOS is also by extension reduced. The decision was made to ensure the overall healthiness of the protocol and to alleviate part of the selling pressure on CHAOS that both the team and members of the community had noticed during previous unlocks.

We always consider the Chaotic Finance community when implementing changes to the protocol and while this change will increase the vesting period, users will still be able to use the Chaotic Finance platform as usual and build cUSD with their entire airdropped amount.
