$CHAOS Token Metrics
Dear Chaotic Community,
We are on the verge of launching Chaotic, Linear Finance’s community-driven integration on the Kusama Network via Moonriver. The launch of Chaotic will enable users to trade long and short positions of their favorite synthetic assets with up to four times leverage!
Along with Chaotic’s launch comes $CHAOS, the protocol’s utility and governance token. As we announced previously, $CHAOS will be airdropped to $LINA holders based on a historically time-weighted average of the debt they have held in Buildr on Linear Finance.
The purpose of this post is to go over $CHAOS token metrics ahead of Chaotic’s launch on Moonriver.
Overview
Token Ticker: $CHAOS
Total Initial Supply at TGE: 100,000,000
Initial Liquid Tokens: 4,500,000
Token Allocation by Percentage
Community Distribution (Airdrop): 25% of the tokens will be allocated to Linear Finance users who have created debt via Buildr. Distribution will be based on a historically time-weighted average of the debt held in Buildr.
Partners and Core Contributors: 5% of the tokens will be allocated to the team and partners who helped launch Chaotic on Moonriver.
Development Fund (Linear Finance): 5% of the tokens will be allocated to the continuous development of the protocol.
Staking Rewards: 40% of the tokens will be allocated to reward users who stake $CHAOS to incentivize the community to stake $CHAOS and build cUSD to trade synthetic assets on Chaotic. Staking rewards will be distributed weekly and 15% of these rewards will be distributed to users of Linear Finance who held debt on Linear Buildr during the respective weeks.
Liquidity/Marketing/Ecosystem: 25% of the tokens will be allocated towards use in marketing, liquidity and to promote healthy growth and maintenance of the Chaotic ecosystem.

Token Unlock and Vesting Schedule
Community Distribution (Airdrop): 10% unlock at TGE, vesting every 4 weeks over 12 months (13 periods). Users will receive 2.5M CHAOS tokens at TGE depending on their historically weighted average of the debt held in Linear Buildr. Subsequently 1.73M every 4 weeks during the 1 year vesting period. These tokens will be unlocked to the users.
Partners and Core Contributors: 10% unlock at TGE, vesting every 4 weeks over 12 months (13 periods). Partners and Core Contributors will receive 0.5m CHAOS tokens at TGE and subsequently 346,000 every 4 weeks during the 1 year vesting period. These tokens will be unlocked.
Development Fund (Linear Finance): 5% TGE, the remainder will follow linear vesting over 36 months. Development Fund will receive 0.25M CHAOS tokens at TGE and then weekly over a 3 year vesting period. These tokens will be unlocked to the users.
Staking Rewards: 0% at TGE. 122,151 CHAOS tokens will be distributed the 1st week and will increase by 0.5% per week during year 1. After year 1, rewards will be constant at 157,000 tokens distributed weekly for the next 4 years (end of year 5). Weekly rewards distributed will be locked for 1 year.
Liquidity/Marketing/Ecosystem: 5% TGE, the remainder will follow linear vesting over 36 months. L/M/E will receive 1.25M CHAOS tokens at TGE and then 152,000 weekly over a 3 year vesting period.
